You are bidding on a 1981 Cy Young of Fame Metallic Plaque- Card. These were issued between the years of 1981-1989 by the Baseball Hall of Fame. These were reproduced to reflect the plaques of the baseball greats inducted. The plaques are pictured on 2-1/2" X 3-1/2" blank-backed gold anodized aluminum. Every detail of the plaque is fully and faithfully reproduced. These limited sets were only sold through the Hall of Fame's gift shop and were discontinued in 1989. Only 1,000 plaques of each player were produced. Values are, to some extent, based not only on player popularity, but on year of issue; later plaques tend to be more expensive because fewer were sold. All plaque cards are mint to near mint condition. All cards are great for grading. These cards come from a set that has been broken up. Please check out my other auctions for other available players.
